2021 Winter Market
This year's Discovery Grid merchant sponsored 2021 Winter Market opens on December 18 through Dec 30th in region Discovery City. Hypergrid visitors can reach it via hop://discoverygrid.net:8002:Discovery City. The Winter Market opens for two weeks with 20 stores and over a dozen merchants showcasing their wares and their new products, all in a gaily decorated winter scene. Visitors or locals already in the region may take the trolley to the market or touch any of the teleport signs placed throughout the city grounds. Not to be missed are two special events on the 18th and another event on the 23rd (see below).
The market transacts in reliable local DC$ currency. Hypergrid visitors may purchase DC$ at the market from PODEX terminals located throughout the grounds.

Christmas Ship Parade and Display - Dec 18, 3:30 PM
On December 18th, admiral Modee Parlez invites everyone to see the Christmas decorated Ships of the Discovery Grid Battle Group. They will dock the boats approximately 3:30 PM grid time. Residents and visitors are welcome to come view the ships and tour them. The dock is located east of the ice rink, north of the castle at the waters edge. The Christmas Ships will remain at the dock for viewing until the end of the market. They will be judged by a team of Discovery residents.
Rogue Galaxy - Dec 18, 4-6 PM
On December 18th, put on your ice skates then skate/dance at the winter market ice rink and enjoy 2 hours of Rogue Galaxy singing to you. Rogue has been singing professionally for over 2 decades with her own band in RL and also with other bands too. She has a duo, trio, and a full band that plays a wide variety of music from blues to rock and easy listening! Rogue's vocals are described as sultry, bluesy and smokey. Her distinct voice and musical style will charm the hearts of ALL. Nominated for Sammy's NY People Choice award 2020. She is a must hear performer.
Arathorn - Dec 23, 6-8 PM
On December 23rd, DJ Arathorn will have his research department delve deep into music Americana and get you tap-a-toeing on your ice skates with a mix of light rock and holiday favorites, all at the winter market ice rink.
